Ola partners with Yes Bank to deliver cash at customer's doorstep

Ola Cabs and Yes Bank are collectively working on a mobile solution, under which, cabs running on the Ola platform will be delivering cash at the customer's doorstep. This is a part of Yes Bank's aim to extend its customer reach.

The two companies had recently announced that as part of their partnership, Ola cabs located near Yes Bank branches and ATMs have been equipped with PoS (Point-of-Sale) devices which can be used by customers of any bank to withdraw up to Rs. 2,000 using their debit cards. This service is currently available in over 30 locations across 10 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Jaipur.

Under the new mobile solution being developed, Ola Cabs having PoS devices will go to the customer's place. This feature will also help customers who aren't willing to stand in long queues at the ATMs, which has been a regular sight post the demonetization announcement on November 8.

Yes Bank has confirmed that this is a service gesture and no charges will be levied from the customer opting for such a service. The two companies are still working on the said platform and further details are awaited.
