The car that has been recovered is certainly missing the roof rails. The one that Mr. Kejriwal used to travel by had them. That raises some questions:

1. Are the lost and the found cars the same?
2. Have the police verified the identity of the car by crosschecking its VIN?
3. Did the missing car have the roof rails?
4. Were the roof rails removed at some point?

A noob question of my own: Are the G series of numbers not exclusive to Government vehicles? They are, at least in Karnataka.

Can we please keep peoples personal politics out of this and stop this inane speculating on publicity stunts and such.

It isn’t all that hard to steal an old beater like that, even with a basic immobiliser.

Anonymous and cheap cars like that will end up scrapped within minutes once they reach any smalltime garage that handles stolen cars, go onto the market as spare parts.

Or just have the engine / chassis number ground out, number plate altered etc and do taxi duty in the village areas and back roads where vehicles won’t get checked as often as in cities.
