A less skilled, less alert driver may not have swerved in time, or could have run off the road.

I feel that driving simulators could be the right tool to prep drivers for such scenarios. Could also be used in training for other emergency situations such tyre blowouts , aquaplaning, brake failure etc.

A very similar incident, in the same city, happened to the conductor of the bus. The bus turned fast, and conductor flew out of the bus. He didn't survive.

The biggest problem here is the lack of concern for safety. No vehicle should ever be driven with its door open. These buses often run with their doors open and people standing on the footsteps. It is incredibly dangerous. The police need to strictly fine anyone operating a bus in this manner. Same happens with trains. There is absolutely no reason why the doors of the coach should be open during travel.
