According to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the transaction count of FASTag under the the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) programme has crossed 31 million in October 2019.



In October 2019, 31.46 million transactions were carried out on FASTags, with a value of Rs. 702.86 crore. In the previous month, this figure stood at 29.01 million transactions with a value of Rs. 658.94 crore.

FASTag is an electronic toll collection system. A vehicle equipped with FASTag is not required to stop at toll plazas. At present, FASTag is live on more than 528 toll plazas in India.

FASTags can be purchased at select toll plazas, select branches of 23 member banks, retail PoS locations / Issuer Bank Website / My FASTag app as well as online.

From December 1, 2017, all new cars come with pre-activated FASTags.

Awesome. Now just to streamline it further and make the process more convenient for Fastag users and also get all toll agencies under fastag and not only NH.

Is the 15 Dec 2019 deadline for real or is it going to be pushed? It is irritating to have only 1 dedicated FASTAG lane.

What is missing is out of how many transactions. Unless we know the percentage this information is almost worthless. Will someone clarify.
