Happy to see MoRTH collaborating with universities towards road safety

The objective is good especially the data analysis feedback loop for improving roads and safety issues.
The app looks promising too.

Hope this expands and upgrades to even higher goals.

Re: MoRTH, IIT Madras and Map My India launch navigation app

Appreciate the initiative of the agencies involved and the concern they have for the safety.

But there are enough signs on the road, warning about the accident prone zones. When the negligent drivers ignore these physical signs (right in front of them), how do we expect them to open an app and check the accident prone zones!

In all probability, this may end up serving only academic and publicity interest.

True and its if no use to those people.

But if its updated well and comes as an android auto/apple car play app via mapmyindia it could become the maps app we use owing to better updates and info.

Looking at the app they seem to aiming for that but let's see how far they go but a good initiative nonetheless.

If it is integrated into Google Maps as a feature, then it will be used well. As a standalone app, it may not be popular.
