Does this feature work on apple carplay / android auto?

Is there a way to link to mappls android app to the Hyundai head unit using the "add gadgets" option in the android app? I find it cumbersome to search on the head unit so thinking if we can link and sync the android app to the head unit just like Google maps on the phone and the android auto one are synced due to AA. I have the latest verna dct.

If so, how can I get the MMI ID?

Following this thread. I had a similar query with the XUV700's Mappls Navigation system. Had tweeted to the MMI team and even provided my contact details but they did nothing!

I am trying to connect the mappls map to Android auto in my Renault Kiger but could not do it (I just tried casually and have not done more R&D yet). Is there any way to do it so that every time we connect the phone through AA it should launch mappls instead of Google map?
