The towing was obviously not included in the bill since they would have had to drive back even if they could not attend to the breakdown. So, literally it was a free tow. This only enhanced their reputation, IMO & Maruti are very clever in that aspect.

Oh Man!
Just saw this thread and what the hell!! You've been thru!!!

I can see that you drive every now and then to Neyyar dam. Next time, stroll around at SHANKUMUGAM beach. But I heard it vanished too!
And you fall asleep everytime you go to a beach! LOL.

Anyway, glad to know that the outcome of your experience was not as scary as the title.

It's time you get a vehicle with some good gearshifts. Yes, like you said; Joystick kind. Ambassador, some lot of Indica, Safari etc.. Comes to mind. What say?

They didn't literally tow the vehicle.

As i mentioned in the first post. The car was 'fixed' into second gear, and given throughout in second to the service centre.

@xinome..what happenend with the red and white Phantom..any pics...pls post...

My nut problem is solved for the moment...I hve decided to switch back to the stck wheels...also getting my car painted at trivandrum TVS...they have always given me quality service, though the service center looks crappy...the whole thing is gonna cost me 28k to 30k...
the tyres on the stock rims are almost worn out, so thats gonna cost more... anyways, hoping to mak my car a bit safer this way..
