Re: Karnataka State Government proposes underground tunnel roads to ease congestion and traffic

As someone who has moved recently to Bangalore ,my observation .

a) study traffic painpoints and make longlasting correction .
b) reduce signals and provide free left and barricaded U turn provision .
c) Road widening / encroachment removal .
d) improve metro lines .
e) develop alternate roads to decongest current main truck roads .

Oh yes, we do that!! That is why we scrapped the CDP 2031 plan and now focusing on having something like a 2041 plan - see 20 years!!

Jokes apart, the city is growing at a rapid pace, but is held back by the super incompetent leadership. The planned roads near Varthur, Panathur, Gunjur, Balagere, PRR, Seegehalli, etc are delayed by years. And this is just Bangalore East.

Also, it is quite unlikely that BDA / BBMP will meet the 2041 deadline. It would be quite a surprise if they could even conclude on a masterplan ever!
