Funny police barricade. Not quite the anti-drunk driving message

I found this police barricade of the Nerul police station at Palm Beach Road. The cops are on a warpath against drunk driving. Or are they?

they are on a offenders catching spree. like they stopped me for not having my headlights on, at 6.30 pm in the evening but then i think they are really doing a better job then any other RTO in mumbai or thane.

lot of new rules are coming into place and except for weekends, they tow away cars from non parking areas.

i have also noticed that majority of RTO havaldars or officers are young in comparision to their counterparts.

i myself have been helped by them when some stupid indica fellow scratched the front left door of my car at an signal.

so as of now i appreciate what they are doing.

That's because, u can't advertise liquor or cigarettes directly. That's the main reason why all the mainstream manufacturers bring out mineral water, non alc beverages, cassettes etc!!

I guess it is the latest technique to detect drunken-driving ( to be used in case breathanalyser not being available). The cops will ask u to read the board.....if u read it correctly as "KingFisher", you pass the test...........if u say "Knockout" or "Kalyani Black label" you will be fined for drunken driving .

Ironically the breath analyzers are too costly for the police to afford and are gifted by the liquor companies to promote a message that they always want people to drink responsibly and show their concern towards the society.
