For Mumbaiites : Status of roads/trains on water logged days 2008

I am proposing this thread for Mumbai team-bhpians to contribute for giving inputs on real time basis regarding the status of roads and trains which they hear or experience on a water logged rainy day like today 1st July 2008. This could be useful for others to get an accurate picture of the situation.

Status of things which I know after reaching office using Harbour line (1130 hrs) :
Skeletal train services on CR-Harbour. WR running late , CR(Main) closed.

Too less vehicles in the Fort area, indicating road traffic being affected.

Today morning, I was one of the very few to get through from Thane/Chembur side to VT/South Mumbai side. I took the IMAX/BPT road. Had flooding at Sewree and Dockyard Road at 8-830 am. Roads were closed at Sion and Hindmata Dadar. Guys who followed after 730 am from Thane could not get through.

WEH was clogged between Kandivli and Andheri - a freind could not make it to Andheri flyover despite 2 hours of jams on WEH.

No rains in South Mumbai

Flooded in Andheri (as if thats anything new!). WEH from Goregaon to Airport was quite jammed, and I heard (it might be a rumor though) that WEH had been shut due to the flooding.

Knee level water logging inside and outside of Nirmal lifestyle.
In corporate center no lift are working. I walked through the knee height water and climbed the staircase to reach office at 5th floor. All rain water and gutter water got mixed. Really horrible situation.

Water logging in Juhu Area, though very less traffic, but now since it stopped raining the water level is going down.Juhu Beach i saw some locals having fun of the Hi-Tide taking official off from work

PS:Guys who are walking on roads please be careful of broken/opened/robbed sever covers as there are plenty in andheri side,Please if you are in Autorickshaw/taxis be carefull for mobile/wallet/laptop thefts, ive seen some bunch of teenage rowdy guys roaming between the traffic here and there and looking in each auto/cars etc. for any easy handy stuff they can pick-up.

In water clogged Areas ive seen some local road fellows coming behind your car and trying to push water in the exhaust which can lead your car to stop working and they push it and demand monies or robb of the stuff.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHATS GOING ON AROUND YOU....!!!BE SAFE.

The traffic from Powai Vihar(Near the Ajhara shopping complex) to Seepz is Clear. Guys travelling on the Jugheads flyover can go without any problems till seepz. Under the flyover there is water logging near Rambagh so please take the road which leads to rambagh as this road is clear.
