Possible instance of breaking in to a car

Today morning I was rushing to catch my office bus and on my way I noticed a boy hanging around a Fiesta in a suspicious manner. I noticed the windshiled had cracked. I felt the boy was waiting for opportunity to break in to the car to steel something. I think I will check with the local police station (Jayangar, bangalore) tomorrow to see if there was a case reported.
