Your Best/Worst Test-Drive Experiences.

Call up the M&M dealers and thank them for helping you make a decision by not giving you a test drive of their vehicle and tell them that you have chosen their rival brand ("The Indian T brand" in this case) then see how they come hurrying to your place <img> .

I'd accompanied my uncle a while back for a TATA Indigo test drive in Chennai. I don't remember the name of the dealer but his showroom was close to the Raj Bhavan in Guindi. The sales guy from the show room started the car and told us that he'll drive the car out of the traffic towards Velachary/Tambaram side and then hand over to us for the test drive. We agreed to that... Man, were we sorry about it... He drove like a complete maniac doing 60-80 kmph in heavy traffic almost missing many old ladies, cyclists and auto guys... When he stopped at the end he had a good reason for the display: A lot of his prospective customers don't believe that a tata vehicle could handle high speed and aggressive acceleration/breaking.

Needless to say, my uncle decided not to buy the car!

When the skoda octavia was launched, I took it for a TD and got challaned for jumping a signal. I was too busy appreciating the interiors,etc and didn't notice the red signal.
When I got out to deal with the cop, the company driver ran away with the car, leaving me stranded with the cop. After paying the fine, I asked the cop to drop me to the nearest taxi.
We didnot buy our Octy from them :-)
