Pics: Mercedes 280SL

Seen this in Bandra. Car seems in good condition. Had nice alloys, 16 inchers I think. Have seen the same alloys on a W140 white S Class also (looks much better on the S though).

280SL is quite an old car, but it looks to be in very good condition and very well maintained by the owner.

Marvellous and extremely well kept car!! But inappropriate chrome and alloys.

Good find, Gordy

Awesome find. VERY tacky chrome inserts on the wheel arches. The alloys are too '2002' for something twenty years prior to that year, and are often found on the current-generation E Class.

Ugly UGLY wheels

Those rims are of an E-class. How can you destroy a beauty like that and put those wheels on it. I've seen the same car in delhi, same colour with some banging AMG wheels. They were super wide at the back and narrower on the front If you wana modify, do something like that. Not a pair of e-240 rims!
If the owner reads... please change. I'll chip in and pay! don't destroy!

Hey Gordy ...good find!
I believe this car is from Bandra (reclamation to be precise)it had different alloys previously...somewhat(or maybe the same) like the multispoke AMG alloys on the SL55 @ the speedrun..remember?
Seen it person its extremely well maitained, seen it frequent Lonavala many a times.

Hey Jesal,
Its the same car....those are exactly the alloys i was talking about..thanks for sharing the pics

Yup, its the same car. The alloys dont suit the car, but the alloys are awesome. Here is the S Class with the same wheels.
