BMW M experience at the Buddh International Circuit

Pictures speak louder than words though I have to say this was one of the best ways that I have ever spent a day in my life. Might M5 is a beast. Enough said.

The first picture is simply fabulous. Just take a look at that gleam. Nice work ZKalra. Which beauties did you get to drive?

Thanks fullrevs. We drove the mighty M5, M3, 640I convertible, and the other regular 530d etc. Was tons of fun. Spent a lot of time in the M5 including slalom. We even had a crazy drifting session with the master drivers from Germany. Let me tell you, once you go sideways, straight just seems boring!!

Beautiful pics Zkalra. The M5 is such a beauty. Looks stunning in blue. The matte black M3 looks equally stunning. Do post more pics of the event, specially of the drifting session.

The Matte black M3 was just superb. Had a chance to see her when it was displayed in Autocar Performance show in Mumbai few years ago.
Goo to see you had tones of fun!

SWEET!!! What I wouldn't give to be in the drivers seat of that M5 on a track.

Zkalra - Please share your experience and feel of the M5. I am particularly interested in knowing the "Going Sideways" detail

Zkalra, the event looks a lot of fun. I would have done anything to have a go in the M5 and the M3. How was your experience with the M cars?

Also, in the 5th picture from the top, is that an M-sport kitted 5-series? The reflectors seem like it is an M-sport rear bumper.
I would love to have an official M-sport kit for my 5-series.

Wish I could buddy. I was inside the car. Hence even if I did take the pics they would have been a mess. But let me tell you the feeling while drifting at those speeds is incomparable.

The M3 is a beast. Handling is unparalleled and IMO equivalent to my RS5 maybe even a shade better.

The M5 is incredible. The sheer face ripping torque is something to be felt to be believed. Over 600 NM of it. The chassis IMO was not as sorted as the M3. This seems to be the path that BMW have taken in order to make their cars have more 'mass' appeal and a 'better' ride. Not a good idea at all IMO. The difference when you drive side by side is quite noticeable. Overall though I would still call the M5 the best all rounder that exists today.

That is an M sports kit on a 530D. It's now available at BMW and you should be able to get it installed fairly easily provided availability isn't an issue where you stay. Avoid the lights IMO. Too garish.

Man i second that. those two german test drivers were nuts. Sideways in a M5 with 4 on board. and they made it look so effortless! we need more track days like this one.

Audi did an event two weeks ago. I was there . We test drove the A6s all day!! Boring. But got a hot lap in the R8 V10 with ceramic bakes. Will post pics of that in another message. Food was better that day though.

Yup that was good. Don't know how many Tyres they must have had to change. Best thing was the two laps we got to do behind the pro drivers. He nailed it on some of those stretches.

Re: BMW M experience at the Buddh International Circuit

Apparently, from what i heard from the test drivers. They were Conserving the tyres. As they were a lot of poeple slotted in to drive the cars around the track. One M5 did need a replacement though when they wrapped up around 6:30.

Look forward to bumping into you at more such events.

The M3 for me is te ultimate track wepon! nimble and powerful!

BoOM!

Completely agreed. That thing is EPIC. The most sorted chassis I have ever driven. The only thing I find is that the RS5 has probably little less body roll but I can't really answer that unless I drive them side by side.
