Re: Gautam Singhania's E46 Drifter!

This weekend, Mr. Gautam Singhania is participating at the All Stars Drift Championship in Malta. At yesterdays qualifying he came out tops with 88 points, 10 points ahead of the next competitor. Thanks to the performance, he becomes the First Indian to be awarded International Pro Drift License. Surely a proud moment for all those associated SCC and the motoring fraternity in the country.
Today 16 September is the finals @ 13:30 Maltese time.

Stupendous effort by Mr. Singhania. This should rate high among the other noticeable achievements in the annals of Indian Motoring. For starters, drifting is still in its nascent stage in India and to compete in a sport on an International stage and come up triumphs on debut makes it even more remarkable.

First of all, congratulations to GS, amazing effort and super achievement. What a great thread this is! Loving the experience of following a car from its stage as an idea, to parts in boxes, to dyno testing, and finally on the track- it doesnt get any better if you are a petrol head. Thanks alot!

It indeed is a super achievement. It further goes to prove and demonstrate that he is the country's only and best all round driver. We normally tend to categorize drivers by their ride - F1, kart, rally etc. These drivers hone their skills over the years by practicing and starting young in their trades/professions. But to Mr. Singhania it all comes naturally, put him in a seat and he masters it. Lands in Malta and straight away takes the trophy, his first attempt at an international drifting championship, competing with drivers from all around the world . He has proven this time and again with his exploits at Magny Cours on the wheels of a F1, unleashing the Indian record at Kharghar with the Godzilla. F1, Dragster or Drifter he can rein them all in.

Adding pictures of the Silvia from yesterdays event in Malta.
