Re: Gautam Singhania's E46 Drifter!

The cars in the video are a Sylvia / impreza
The car is being built in India.... However with a European drift champions design. It's going to be a very high level car

To be more specific who are the workers, mechanics from India whom the European guy would guide, mentor, supervise.

The black car is a Skyline R32 GTST (#69)
The red/black/white car that GS is playing around with is a Subaru Impreza 22B - its one of those rare 2 door impreza's!
Phil Morisson is driving a S15 Silvia..

I'm hooked to this thread.

Its about time we started drifting in India..Time to go sideways!!!

Cheers..

Where and when is the car going to be used? Are there some additional plans in place for this?

Also, the tri-color EVO is set up for drift too right? What are the differences between the E46 build and the EVO?

EDIT: Attaching pic of the EVO, since most people haven't ever seen it...

Rehaan - We might not be very far away from witnessing India's first private strip in Mumbai. Thanks for the EVO picture.

Re: Gautam Singhania's E46 Drifter!

Most likely 17" designs for the rubbers. 9 J with Kumho KU 36 will be killers.

Re: Gautam Singhania's E46 Drifter!

This is so exciting!!

Stripped down body, new welds, ROLL CAGE, huge engine, new body panels...i dont know what excites me more - seeing all that or imagining what other engineering goodies are waiting to be installed on this baby.

Huge shout out to Mr. GS.

Also, I must appreciate the workmanship on the assembly fixture. It looks inspired from all the new age vehicle factorys of Volkwagen Phaeton, Mercedes SLS AMG etc. Looks like single point fixture for access to underbody as well (indexing mechanism)

Hey id like to know how did you manage to peel off the paint of the entire body? Some reverse electro dip? And are those fibre panels for the body shell? Where are they being imported from?
