From what I can see, this car seems to have the Clubsport Pack, as evident by the white roll cage. Delicious! Or does it come standard on the RS?
*Paging for Mr. Suhaas307*
But the seats appear to be the Sports Bucket seats and not the Full Bucket ones, a la the 918.

Hi Shyn

The Clubsport package, (which includes a bolt-in roll cage, battery disconnect switch, six-point harness for the driver, and a bracket-mounted fire extinguisher) is optional on the GT3 but standard on the GT3 RS. The seats however, are not a part of the Club Sport Package.

The RS comes with Full Buckets that are similar to the ones found in the 918, the difference being that the 918's Buckets are generously padded while the GT3 RS' seats are.. ummm, aren't.

The difference between Sport Buckets and Full Buckets is just the way they look. I think the RS in the previous page comes with Full-Buckets - the picture, unfortunately, isn't clear enough to conclusively ascertain the type of seats. We will have to wait for clearer pictures.

EDIT: You always have the option of choosing the seats you want, but I don't see why anyone would opt for the old buckets over the 918-style ones.

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 in India

Saw the car inside out a few hours ago and boy oh boy was I smitten! Looks absolutely smashing in white and the Sports Exhaust system sounds insane!
The saleshead told me that this particular car has all the options ticked apart from the PCCBs!

That beauty will hold its exclusivity since I doubt any more will come in and I only wonder how harsh the ride would be on our roads. Also I hear Porsche Gurgaon has a confirmed deposit for the 991.2 GT3 from a BHPian, and two more possible deposits to be made.

So what seats are they? 918-style?
And aren't ceramic brakes standard on the RS along with centre-locking wheels, Mr. Suhass?

991.2 GT3? Has it even been announced yet?

Btw, here's another pic of the car that was forwarded on whatsapp.

Yes this one has the 918 style seats IIRC. Was too carried away by that wide booty and the throaty roar to notice the seats
Also, PCCBs aren't standard on the RS. CenterLock wheels are, but the CCBs are an option.

Also, the 991.2 hasn't been announced yet but it is testing and the spy shots are all over the place.

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 in India

So the only 991.2 GT3 coming to India this year, completed production last week and has reached the port for shipping. From what I know, it'll have to wait there about 2-3 weeks before it can be put on a ship.

Expected delivery timeline is late September - early October.

It's been a long time coming. IIRC you booked it in 2016 right? No wonder yours is the first in the lot!

Hope you'll let me drive it at BIC

Yes, I placed a deposit exactly a year ago in July 2016. Having missed on the .1 by a few months, I didn't take any chances this time.

Re: Porsche 911 GT3 in India

The GT3 wave in India in the last month or so took the tally of 911.2 GT3's in the country to 9! Red, Silver, Black, Yellow all look gorgeous but the Miami Blue is the ultimate color in my opinion to have the GT3 in.
Seen here is a Racing Yellow 911 and a Miami Blue Beetle out and about this Sunday morning
