I'd rather buy a Mahindra E20 (erstwhile Reva) for almost 60% of this price and would get to move around in the comfort of a nice little car rather get drenched in rin and baked in the sunshine.
Though this could act as agreat cue for some of our Indian two wheeler/quad wheeler manufacturers in case it takes off.

Found this 2 year old review, which also states "then" a India price tag of 4.8 lakhs plus a monthly battery rental of 3500. Wonder what happened to the launch!
It also adds if renault could come with a tiny petrol engine at the back it would add lots of practicality and become far more affordable too. I agree to it cent percent!
Managed to click the tiny little Twizy finally. It ferries along the same route at the same time everyday. Notice how small it is in comparison to the humble hatchbacks of our country :)
P.s: Ignore the picture quality. Was taken on full zoom from a humble phone camera.
I was walking through the streets of Liège today, using the weekend to take in the sights of this picturesque Belgian city and the huge variety of cars, when I hear something approaching.
Before I can even say 'camera', this strange thing zoomed by, with me being able to only make out that it is a Twizy.
P.S.: All the cars that are flops in India are apparently favourites here - A_Star, Getz (saw many CRDi versions & all colors including yellow), Polo, Punto etc. are in plenty here.

Number plate indicates that it is a consulate vehicle. French consulate is using it, and no testing is being conducted by Renault.

The French Consulate is not using it. I wonder why everyone thinks so. Its being used by the UAE Consul General. Here's a photo of the car, decorated to celebrate the UAE National Day.

^^^Maybe because it is a French car and thus the association (wrongly though) with the French embassy.
BTW the UAE Consulate urgently needs a spell-checker - "National" spelt wrongly.
