I don't get the point why Indian auto media (many of them) have to take a Maserati 4 door saloon off the road. Sliding cars in the mud has become quite a norm for them. I wonder if it is the lack of skill of pulling off an opposite lock on tarmac the reason or do they just do it, because they can.

To me this is not testing, its hampering the car in a territory its not meant to be in at all.

You answered yourself there, the first sentence (which is the reason for MOST cases) while the latter is for the remaining few.

So according to the Instagram posts by a BHPian, the Poonawalla collection now houses a BRABUS Rocket 850 based on a Merc S63 AMG. Awaiting more details. Till then, here are a couple of pics.

Why does the Poonawalla collection house no Veyron so far ? They throw hundreds of crores on jets and high end properties but they skip the Veyron ? It doesn't make sense.

maybe because the veyron doesn't make sense to them.

when you buy property worth hundreds of crores, the value appreciates over time - its an asset.
when you buy jets - it's again an asset as it saves the businessman's time.

the cars are of course there to move them around in luxury and occasional fun drives especially the corvette, supra, gallardo, crazy gemballa cayenne and the few ferraris.

but spending 20 odd for a veyron just to see it sitting around as pune roads aren't good enough for it - might make little sense to them

Spotted this Aston Martin (vantage i think).. The car was tailing me from the KP-Kalyaninagar bridge, until until RSI, where my kid brother asked me to slow down and let the aston overtake, so he can get a shot.

Had no idea there is a Brabus 850 in India! Kudos to the owner for getting this piece of kit on his S63 AMG. The kit adds 265PS of power and 550Nm of torque bringing the total to a whooping 850PS and...wait for it...1 4 5 0 Nm!!! One thousand four fifty! Mind=Blown.
Apparently the owner also has a stock S63 AMG! Is that true? Wonder what else these twins share a garage with?
