Just a couple of days after its global unveil, Lamborghini has launched the Huracan LP 580-2 in India at a price of Rs. 2.99 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

Like the successful Gallardo LP 550-2, this car too is a rear wheel drive supercar, powered by a 5.2 litre V10 naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 572 BHP and 540 Nm mated to 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Its top speed is 320 km/h. This car can propel to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 10.1 seconds. It is 33 kg lighter than the four-wheel drive version weighing 1,389 kg and has a combined fuel efficiency figure of 8.4 kmpl.

This car gets a 40:60 (rear bias) weight distribution and is equipped with 3 driving modes - Strada, Sport and Corsa.



To distinguish it from its 4-wheel drive sibling, this car gets a re-designed front & rear bumper, 19" Kari rims and loses out on the movable rear spoiler.

Woah! That was quick! Should have gotten the LP610-4 Spider as well.

So if it is a LHD car, no street test drives possible, right?

OT: how much does the LP610-4 retail for? And how many LP550-2 Gallardos do we have here?

Wouldn't it be nice if manufacturers showcased the actual version they'll be selling here? This is a LHD model on display at the launch. It's rather off-putting and shows a lack of attention to detail.

I have a different view. Its possible that these are pre productions on display here, like when the Huracan was showcased here (that too was an LHD I think). Its nice to have launches here within a few days of the global launch, rather than a few months after. Also possible that production hasn't started for RHD models.

As rightly pointed out by @akshay1234 this one is indeed a pre production display car that came here for the purpose of a sneak preview only, that within days from the global launch at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In fact the seriousness Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has shown for this country, easily surpasses most premium players in the market with much greater presence and volumes.

Latest example being the AMG GT being launched today in India but after a full year after its global launch.
