Aston Martin New Delhi held a private preview today in Delhi of the DB11 for a select few. The launch is scheduled for a little later while previews will take place in various cities.
The DB11 is the dawn of whole new era for Aston employing the new twin turbo V12 engine and incorporating the mighty fascinating AeroBlade tech for better aerodynamics of the car.

Beautiful Beautiful car. But where will one be able to drive this in India?
Other than perhaps Lutyens Delhi, Buddh Circuit, South Mumbai, Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Delhi-Jaipur highway and a few other places here and there?

The Aston Martin DB11 is 50 mm longer and 28 mm wider compared to the DB9. The wheelbase has been elongated by 65 mm to mount the new 5.2-litre V12 engine. The DB11 is the first series production Aston Martin to feature a twin-turbo engine. Developing 608 PS and 700 Nm of torque, this unit makes the DB11 capable of doing 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds and onward to a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h). There’s an 8-speed automatic transmission handling the delivery duties.

On a side note, I just realised that the DB11 succeeds the DB9
Wonder what does Aston have in store for the DBS badge. Absolutely love the latest iteration of it. Hope they do justice to it's predecessor!

Checked out the DB 11 today in Mumbai;

- The car being an all new design felt unmistakably an Aston.

- A lot of design cues of the One-77 can be seen in the design.

- The roof strake is a dramatic design element & does add modern flavour to the design.

- The interior feels slightly more airier than the outgoing DB9 as the DB 11 has increased headroom by around 10 mm.

- BUT it still is an claustrophobic cabin just as most of the supercars.

- Though you sit low, very low but the seats felt really comfortable.

- Also this being a 2+2 GT the rear seats are too tight to even think of attempting to go behind.

- Metal paddles were a special touch (But had slightly long throw)

- The gearbox is again a 8 speed ZF which i asked to re-confirm with the senior sales guy who surprisingly did not know wether its ZF or not.

- Pricing is a shocker though as in the US it is priced at only U$ 214,000 (INR 1.43 Crores) but in India they launched it for INR 4.27 Crores, What logic ?

Also had the rare opportunity to "start" the car & revv to bring the V12 to life.

Bang + Boom + Snarl + Growl thats what the car felt everytime i revved her.
