Technically he's still with McLaren till 31-12-2006. He's relieved from testing and development

yeah..... Thing is, Renault refused to let Alphanso go to McLaren early saying that he need to fulfill some contractual obligations.
So, McLaren also refuse to let Kimi go to Ferrari early.
And till he joins Ferrari, he will be advertising with McLaren

its down for the Johnnie Walker Race Day at Mahalaxmi Race course.
its been bought down by Diageo, as they want to promote the Race Day big time and make it memorable,somethin along the lines of Poonawalla Breeders Million and UB group sponsered race days.
Apparently the insuarnce for the car cost Diageo 15 lakhs as the car is scheduled to go to various cities.....cost of transportation..40 lakhs..

Alonso is allowed to test with Mclaren, but the car is to have no sponsor logos, he is to wear plain overalls and a white helmet. New boy Lewis Hamilton has gone faster than him on the last day testing at Jerez. Kimi did make an apperance at the Ferrai pits (dont remember where) to have a look and talk to the engineers.
its in the air that renault were paid $ 2.5 mil to secure that last day of testing for "cry baby"

The other day it had even come to Hyderabad. It was just chassis without the engine.
Like pointed out the car will be here for promotional purposes. It is still not here and the run would be on the 29th or 30th of this month.
