2018 Jaguar F-Type SVR priced at Rs. 2.65 crore

Jaguar is gearing up to launch the 2018 F-Type SVR in the Indian market. The sports car is priced from Rs. 2.65 crore and bookings are now open.

The F-Type SVR is a high-performance version of the F-Type, which has been developed by Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team. The car will be available in both coupe and convertible body styles. On the outside, the SVR version gets a tweaked front bumper with larger air vents and a more pronounced splitter. It has vents on the front fenders, a fixed rear spoiler and quad exhausts housed within a reworked rear diffuser. The F-Type SVR rides on 20-inch lightweight forged alloy wheels and comes with a Titanium and Inconel exhaust system that is claimed to be 16 kg lighter than the stock exhaust. Apart from the lightweight sports seats, the interiors of the F-Type SVR are similar to the standard car.

The F-Type SVR is powered by a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 engine that delivers 567 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 700 Nm of torque @ 3,500 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Jaguar claims that the SVR coupe will do 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 322 km/h.

Isnt this a riduculous pricing. Dangerously close to a Huracan pricing. This is supposed to be exactly 1 Cr lesser when compared to the global pricing.

Hahaha exactly! Quite an optimistic pricing there. The Porsche 911 GT3 is 2.37cr ex and the turbo starts at 2.4 ex. Why would anyone get a FType for that much money?!

Read in today's paper that they have launched the F type with a 4 cylinder 300hp engine for 90 lacs!! Now that's an attractive price. Should start seeing more of them on the road soon.

We just bought the F type v6 coupe, no comparison to AMG and BMW, Jaguar has its own style.
