The busa does not look all that great. I personally love the Yammies. The 2005 R1 is a stunner.

Hey guys the best busa in india is fom mumbai bought from a guy from banglore.i am sure most of you have seen it in the drag in banglore as well as in mumbai.
The bike is very powerful it has special exhausts, racing chip, special alloy wheels , and a longer wheelbase.

The best part about this bike is the rear end the tyre profile is 265 it is awesome

Are you talking about this Busa?! It was brought to Mumbai Speed Run 2005. One of our members [Domnic] did this bike up. I'm not sure who owns the bike.

Pics of some more Busa's :
The red Busa is most probably a repainted Busa (in Limited Edition Red style). Thats bcos the speedo is calibrated to 340 kmph. And only the pre-2000 Busas had them calibrated to 340. Post-2000 Busa's had the 250kmph speed limiter and speedo calibrated only to 280kmph. Also the "Limited" badge was missing from the handlebar. Also the stickers on the bike are not original. Look carefully at the GSX1300R sticker and its obvious.

The silver Busa too has a cheap sticker added onto the windshield.

A few corrections here my friends:

@v12: The busa was the fastest bike till 2000. Then there came the zx12r which was equally fast as the restricted busa. They both are restricted post 2000 and now both are equally fast. They are not limited to 250kmph but 186mph, thats 299kmph. The busa was not banned, but the EU regulations were gettin nosey and the Japanese companies didn't want the Govt to intervene in the functioning of their company. So the Jap four entered in a gentlemen's agreement to restrict the top speed of these bikes to 299kmph.

@dipen: Your mixing two classes of bikes, the litre bikes (r1) and the sport-tourers (busa and 12r). The r1 stands no chance against a stock busa or a 12r. Far from the fastest bike in the world, its not even the fastest in its class. The fastest in its class being the zx10r. I know this is difficult to digest but these are the facts.
The cruiser 2300cc- The triumph rocket 3, doesn't come close to these in terms of performance. It again falls in a different class. It is neck and neck in performance with a Vmax (1985!!), no way in hell can it beat the busa or 12r.

@TeamFiat: The busa has a lotta torque, which you prolly know. This massive gobs of torque eat up the tyre in 1000-3000km of proper riding. Wheelspins are as frequent as gearshifts.

@GTO: Guess you haven't seen the zx12r then?

@raihan: You prolly won't find the comparisons between r1 and busa directly because they don't fall in the same class. The best you could do is gather performance figures from individual tests and compare. And no r1 is way behind the busa. The r1 has almost the same rwhp as the busa, but the busa has tons of more torque. Most ppl think since the r1 looks the part, it is the best bike, the truth is that it's one helluva bike and awesome performance, but far from the best.

@v12: You do a great job with the pics!

hi powerslave. i actually meant that the sale of bikes having speed in excess of 250 (or 300 i'm not sure) was banned in EU countries (the ban started in Switzerland). And that meant that the Hayabusa was in trouble. So they had to restrict it.

Also i guess the Rocket beats the Busa and 12R in the 0-100 run. Its supposed to be the quickest bike , isnt it? Correct me if i'm wrong.
