Which Toyota engine was it. Beetle uses a 'flat-four' engine. Cant imagine how anything else will fit in there.

My neighbour had one in German red Color...I came across another (same color, Soft Top, Convertible) at an Auto consultants place near Cathedral College in 1999, was told it was sold to Sharruk Khan, but not registered in his name....this had Goa Registration...

Goa used to have a lot of old Beetles infact they were a very common sight . Even the driving school cars used to be Beetles with 2 steering wheels. I'd really love to get my hands on the old Herbie movies if i could source them on vcd or DVD

speedsatya is right performance auto in noida have managed to fit in the toyota engine in the beetle.....and the funny part is that it has a radiator...it is one sweet ride with an amazing paint job!!

hey speedsatya - was the beetle u saw red wid 2 big mufflers ? i saw one in chandigarh ..which was red and very loud ..but had a delhi number plate ..looked very fine ...
