VW Phaeton in Noida!

Saw this in Sector 29 area!
I think this is extremely rare here. First time I have seen a Phaeton.
Cell phone pic, hence the poor quality

The Phaeton is a fantastic car. Last year I've used the 5.0lt diesel for 3 days in Germany.

Looks big and elegant!

Nice! See the Tourag occasionally, but have never seen the Pheaton.

Well AFAIK there are atleast 3 of them in Delhi, maybe 4. Apart from this silver there are 2 dark blue's which I've seen personally. One of the blue ones has one escort Gypsy with 4 Safari-suit wallahs with it at all times!

Yeah!!! Twin -turbo 5.0L V10, 313 HP, 700 odd N-m of torque, voted the engine of the year in 2003 (or so, if i remember well) in America beating powerhouses such BMW and Ferrari ( i really dont remember the engines, someone please fill 'em in). Then was the most powerful road-going production pass car diesel. I know those turbos personally!

Nice. There's a deep blue one usually standing at Claridges Hotel. It's got lovely creamish/magnolia hide. Here's a pic, taken in August 2005 at the hotel's parking:

Precisely. Very much in accordance with what Jeremy and James say.

Very ordinary looking car IMO and IIRC the Phaeton is a flop. Too high a price tag for VW brand, inspite of all the technology.

True Mayavi, but it's still an amazing car. Pity about the brand name :(

volkswagen obsessed neighbour

My neighbour has bronze - goldenish phaeton with huge multispoke chrome wheels and a fancy number. In fact he also has a blue v10 touareg and a volkswagen van ( the one which was at the auto expo )
I've also spotted a white phaeton at the delhi golf club frequently.
