Spotted Toyota Sequoia

Hey Guys,

I was in chennai last week and spotted this

really did not know about this vehicle and more over this was a left hand drive vehicle. Probably some Phirang using it and the number also seems different (probably US embassy guys using it). I'm now checking the toyota site for more about the vehicle

Spotted Toyota Sequoia-76980.jpg

nice find laxminarayan. the car is indeed a counsulate car and that is why it is a left hand drive. the sequoia is a varient of the landcruiser with a little compact body. it shares most parts with the landcruiser, you could call it a landcruiser on a diet.

cheap deal the cars are not owned by the counsulate but by individuals who work in the counsulate. they bring cars of their own choice that the own abroad. so basically where ever they get transferred their cars go with them.

Wrong ! Sequoia dosent share anything with he Landcruiser. Its an SUV based on the Toyota Tundra Pickup truck and was designed especially for the US market.

I've been on a Sequoia in the US. Its humongous. No, its not based on the Landcruiser, its definitely bigger than that. I remember it having quite a few sunglass holders. :-)
