Spotted: Toyota Avalon Sedan in Mumbai

starting a new thread since couldnt find ne old one on this


found this avalon at one of the most famous places in the city

was purely a USDM with an LHD... absolute beauty

though its also sold in the JDM as toyota pronard.. but this was the avalon version from the USDM.

had a chance to drive it some years ago in the US awsome vehicle.. drives almost llike a lexus.

I have always fancied owning one and came close to it while living in the US. I was told by a colleague of that time Avalon can seat 3 in the front row. I believe one of the engine options develops close to 220 BHP. Always loved its posture and the way it drives on highways.

looking at the CC regd it looks like a consolate car to me

i have so far seen two types of consolate cars
1>with CD blue plate
2>with CC yellows plates and some times the otherway too

Avalons are pretty decent cars,,, loads of space, a different interior compared to the standard toyotas.
However this import is the earlier variant.new variant looks much better.

this is not the latest variant.. new one looks like the current gen. camry

yes some of these featured the bench seat style in the front with a column mounted gearshift ( auto )

the main reason for toyota to launch this car in the US was to penetrate sales of the American cars like the LINCOLN and ford crown vic. and the mercury grand marquis.
