Thanks for the info. buddy. And I hope the price (Rs.15-20lakh) that you quoted was of an MKIV Supra on Indian soil...just to confirm.:)

Yeah 15-20 would be for an mkiv in very good/excellent condition, also it would have to be a twin turbo with a 6-speed....

could some one reupload the pics.

If you're lucky to find one.

I'm talking about a stock engine.

Yes, you'd still be lucky to find one. They're pretty rare in India, and the good ones are all taken.

true, the good ones are all taken...wish me luck....

I hear luck favours the brave. And the gutted.

I'm leaning more towards the gutted....:)

... and so I've heard.

Are you looking for one here or in the States?

Here in good old India, I am moving back by early-mid next year.

Supras In the states are pretty cheap comparitively, a friend of mine from the Z club bought a 1998 Twin turbo with 60k miles in mint condition for $40k. I drove that car and fell in love with it. Although for me the Z's handle better and drive better the Supra can handle more horsepower with the stock engine.

I know Supras are expensive in US. I would say Supra in India if at all any on sale cannot be said expensive (compared to US) as premium segment cars is India are priced in the ratio (in most cases).
$50000 car in US = 50lak INR (or more) car in India

Considering this a $40k Supra in US should cost 40lak INR in India. (assuming stock twin turbo).
But for 40 lak INR, you can get a devil Supra in India.

I do agree with the pricing ratio but that is because of the import duty, this 40K supra is essentially Rs. 16L. Which is pretty cheap.

yes supras are expensive in US, COMPARITEVELY to other cars in this segment. I think Supras are overpriced everywhere, thanks to F&F1.
