Bangalore:Leela Palace BMW 3series auction.

My brother gave me this info .It seems the Leela palace on Airport road is auctioning their 3 series beemers.Not too sure about the reserve but it should be well under 13 lakhs.

Thats the news if anyone is interested.Do confirm it.

I thought they had only 7 series, yellow plates? What year 3 series is this?

They are around 2003, they are 316i 's. Most of them would have been used for short journeys to HAL airport. They only have 2 7 series. One old 730 and one recent 730d.

13 Lakhs is too high ,7-8 lakhs ,might be

How does it work when you buy a yellow plate. Do you need to convert it?

YOu can cancel the taxi permit & avail the NOC by the hotel. Then you can transfer it to your name. I had bought an E-class from Taj Mumbai some three years back & did the same.

If ment the transfer process, then its not tough job. If you get a good agent, then it'll be more easy.

The approx cost for cancelling taxi permit & tranfering will be around 5-7K. But some hotel may even cancel the axi permit before they sell, as the permit will be on their name, there is chances for mis-using the cars.
