its a new bike and the stock specs show that the 2004-2005 made R1s put out 180bhp!!!

its gonna be hard to keep the front wheel on the ground at high revs.!!

these bikes are LETHALLY POWERFUL!!!

nice pics ,the r1 looks best in this color , btw spotted a silver 2004/2005 r1 couple of days back in kharghar with a news channel crew , and saw about 7 , 8 sbks on the mumbai mahableshwar highway zooming past on the highway...there was a green zx12r and a silver busa ,couldnt make out which were the other bikes as they were zooming past and my eyes were locked on the ninja. saw this in mahad few weeks back...looked like a huge sbk gang ..heading back to bombay after a vacation..is any team-bhpian part of this?

nice photo -- awesome bike -- saw a black coloured of same breed and a yello one of the older near BMCC pune. these bikes ROCK !!!

kooldude, u never get to see black 2004-05 R1s because this colour is available in the US alone and is priced a bit higher. there's a shipment of black R1s arriving from the US, next month.
