they must have parked it in an area with no draft or airflow. engine does make a lot of heat during idling.

What a waste of a wonderful opportunity. I was there at Chennai airport yesterday morning and in the evening. If only they had made an announcement for help in draining the excess fuel, i would have happily cancelled my trip to BLR and driven her around the runway and helped them burn the fuel :Shockked:

Too bad it was the baloon white one.I liked it the second best actually anly after the yellow.

Aah too bad is what I would say. Are they auctioning off the burnt wreckage? How much would one pay for it? Can you get lambo parts off eBay? :p

The picture of the car and the one at cargo terminal looks different? Hard top vs Soft top?

Idling leading to fire is very unnatural and it seems like an issue with the model then, unless there is a fuel leak or something? Is the engine bay made up of fire inducing material or what? Assuming it will have cooling fans to keep the engine cool LOL

I call BS on this. This isn't a circa 1980s Lambo, but a thoroughbred VAG/Audi product. I really don't think it will catch fire with a prolonged idle. Overheating = limp mode/shutoff with all modern ECU controlled engines.

More likely someone decided to take it for a spin or light up or park it near an oil/fuel spill.

May be our resident salvage restoration expert aatish might be interested in the remains.
Target a Lamborghini 560 in under 50 lakhslol:
On a serious note, catching fire while idling is something i wouldnot believe, engine can overheat, and there are plethora of electronics to prevent this.
but catching fire?????

some pics after the burnout

OMG that does look really bad. Thanks for the pictures thats what this thread really needs.
This was the same vehicle that was doing donuts on the track.
Also note the bumper has actually melted because of the heat.

I have a bad feeling about this. What you may know it would have been a stunt for some black money guy to get it for his son on the pretext of auction of total loss.

It is here and anything can happen or any custom top official demand has been met .

A few reasons to doubt conspiracy or is it Technological advancement:

1. Why are the tail lamps untouched by heat even when the bumpers were tested with them? Hats off technolology i believe clap:

2. There is some sort of leakage happened below the vehicle. We see a puddle of oil spilt below. Now that smells some sort of jeopordising :OT.

But all it rolls down to is "A massive emotional pain to all the autophiles around the world".

That's bad!! look at the molten vents over the Longitudinal Posteriore!

Any idea whats to happen to this car. Would it be auctioned or sold. I definately am interested in the remains of the car :D.

The car has been imported into India under Bond, therefore it has to go back outside within a time period. If it does not, then full import duties have to be paid. So this will be packed up & sent back where it came from, no one can do anything about it unless you are willing to pay import duties for the original value.

If there was a chance, I would have made it there first. :D
