Yeah, that's a C-coupe. There was one in the country badged as an AMG, IIRC.

C220 Kompressor Sport Coupe. Made between 2001 and 2004. Powered by a 1.8ltr Supercarhed 4 cylinder engine making about 170BHP I think.Made keeping in mind the European market I think and to compete with the BMW 3-series compact. You see tonnes of them in London for example.

Was about to post the picture of a maroon one I saw in Hyderabad about two weeks back.

In my opinion the worst looking merc ever made- Looks completely disproportionate, like the second half was suddenly chopped off by an angry robot in the factory! Thankfully they discontinued this model. A better designed C coupe would do really well (like the 1 series), especially in big cities with younger populations.

I've seen this car in Bangalore, I think. It was owned by the guy who worked on Residency Road, and it was parked every day, right in front of Cotton Complex. Somehow, I always liked the way it looked. I have a thing for quirky designs, so this looked good to me, despite that tacky plastic spoiler at the back.

It's a C-Class Sports Coupe, as some have already mentioned.

Figured as much. If I remember correctly, he drove a tastefully modified black Ford Mondeo too, that wore a set of achingly beautiful 17" OZ Antares wheels. Loved seeing that car every other day.

I wonder what the landed cost of that C220 Coupe was? I'm guessing around 30-40 lakhs?

Going by the exhaust layout, this is an even rarer one, its a 4.2 FSI V8. Over ninety percent of the Phaetons sold in India are 3.6 V6's

This phaeton belongs to the VW dealer. It was up for sale for rs 90 lakhs asking. Considering 2 years old and old.version, that's hoping for the moon
