It had been clarified in the past by Mods, if the car is spotted on a public place there is no need of masking the number plate. In this case it was seen on a main road!

There are subtle differences. Up front, it's really hard to tell. The grille is slightly different. The V10 has some chrome elements in it. The wheels are different too. It's when you get to the back you realize that there is a difference. The number of slats on the grille below the tail-lights are FAR MORE in the V8. Also, the V10 has some sort of a black finish around the grille and the number-plate area. Not to mention quad-circular-pipes in the V8 as opposed to the dual-oval-exhausts in the V10.

EDIT: Oh, and I just noticed another difference. The V10's massive fins on the sides are more pronounced and wider around the intake area than on the V8. That's one way to tell a V8 from a V10 if you've got only the side-profile to look at.

Suhaas has already mentioned the difference. But as you told all R8s look brilliant in red. Those V10 rims also enhnaces the beauty part of the car.

Suhaas adding to your details,the v8 has got 3 slats in the front and 4 slats at the rear but v10 has got 2 slats at both the ends.
