India's 1st Turbocharged Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R!

Say hello to India's 1st and only turbocharged ZX14R. All prepped up for the Drags for acheveing a super quarter mile time.

An awesome turbo unit for the 14R, Garret internals with capabilities of scaling upto 450BHP. Getting a kit is one thing - nstalling it is a different ball game, so I have to mention the awesome work put in by the 7th Gear Customs team to get her ready.

Insane Roller, Let me be the first to congratulate you! Have you run a dyno for the same?

Holy molly! Waiting to hear how it does on the quarter mile strip. Especially in case a certain Mr. Gadson lays his hands on this greenery.

Looking good . What kit are you using , RCC , Velocity , orient or something else ? Also , no extensions for stability and keeping the front down ?

Congratulations!

Someone say Gadson? What mind-numbing acceleration...climbs faster than your brain can process the speed

Re: India's 1st Turbocharged Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R!

Gadson was part of the first 2 editions of TVR. He's a true Champ. However, this beast will be ridden by an Indian Racer. I have had a short round on this madness of a machine & it's absolutely safe to say that she's total "Madness".
Wheel spinning at 210kmph, searching for traction!!!

Extensions and other detailing is on currently. She'll be ready for her run on 10/11th Jan, 2015.

Updates please!
What time did she run? How much of an improvement was it over stock? And what does she look like now? Some pictures and video footage would be great.
I can't hold my excitement down!

So I was at Stuart's when I saw this baby. That thing is obnoxiously crazy. Wheel spins right till 5th gear on the video that I saw. Have fun with this monster.

The last time I heard about this bike I was told that the engine blew up. Is it true?? Also no updates on this thread suggests so.

Re: India's 1st Turbocharged Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R!

Sorry to dig up this thread. I'm doing some research on turboing the 14r. I'm wondering how feasible it is or if it would make more sense to sell it and buy a Hayabusa to turbo.
I like the 14 but the frame over engine and the location of the air box makes it a pain to work on.

So how did this bike go? Did it have a base spacer gasket to de-comp the motor or was it running a stock motor?

It's a massive task. Running on stock motor is dangerous - as we faced it. Completely redone the engine with forged pistons etc and addition of a lot of safety aspects to ensure the engine doesn't blow. There is very little space to work on it - that's for sure. But 14r is ideal to Rubí as compared to a Busa. She ran well in TVR 2016 held last month. But always searching for traction on a standard tar surface. Needs the actual glue prepped surface to crack that timing.

Here's a video from last month's run:

Nice. Rode and partied with him once. He was on his BMW S1000 RR. And, he is a friend of a close friend

Apart from 300+ motorcycles (Vintage Triumphs, Harleys, Bullets, Goldwings etc.) that they own ( parked in a space outside of city and displayed to public every Independence an Republic day) he also owns many exotic cars including a Lambo from a popular cricketer ( Don't want to name him here)

Their collection of automobiles should go into Guinness book of records
