Big discounts on the Honda CBR 650F and Kawasaki ER-6n

Thank you to BHPians swiftnfurious and //M for sending this information in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts!

The Honda CBR 650F and the Kawasaki ER-6n are currently being offered with huge discounts of up to Rs. 1 lakh. These discounts are a part of the companies' stock clearance exercises.

The primary reason behind these huge discounts is the government's decision to make it mandatory for all two-wheelers on sale in the country to be BSIV compliant from April 1, 2017. Since both these bikes - the CBR 650F and the ER-6n, are currently available with BSIII engines, dealers are trying to get rid of the existing stock before the said April 1 deadline.

Additionally, both these bikes are nearing their end of product life cycle. While the Honda CBR 650F will soon receive a facelift, Kawasaki will be replacing the ER-6n with the new Z650. With the aforementioned huge discounts, dealers might also be trying to get rid of the existing inventory before the new models are launched.

Thanks for the information.

However, received a feedback from a dealer in Pune that ER-6n is not in stock.

Cheers,
Amey

Thanks for the information.

I checked with a dealer in Bangalore. Their response:
1. Yes, we are aware of the discount of Rs. 1L, but that is in Mumbai.
2. In Bangalore there is no discount by company. Though dealer is offering Rs. 50k off, and ER-6N costs Rs. 5.05L OTR after discount.
3. There is 35k discount on Z250 as well.

Wow! SO the news is for real!

This means Ninja 300 and ER-6n are separated by only around Rs 50K.

Are they offering any discounts on the Ninja 300 or kept at the same price?

cheers,
Amey

Almost.

IIRC, 35k off on N300.
And yes, if you press a bit, they can offer some good discount on Kawasaki Riding Jacket.

IMO, this price cut on ER6N makes it more value for money, and N300 feels even more expensive now.

Mod Note: Please continue the discussion in threads dedicated to the said bikes. Thanks!
