Ducati 1098 video/sound clip

Oh boy, oh boy... this engine sounds so meaty. I want this bike soooo bad. This is one beast that is very hard to resist. Love the sound of it.

I am yet to see a 1098 in person, but there is something about that thump that makes it distinctively a Ducati. This one seems to be better than the other ducatis. The base model costs $15K, and pumps out a sweet 160 horses.
I guess I will have to wait for some rich guy to buy it new and sell it to me as a used bike in a couple years (hopefully in one piece) Or win a lottery

Dunno what will happen when you see the Duke 1098S Tricolore in the Italian colours Prasadee(I think it's been launched in the US). The Ohlins forks and Marchesini wheels will make the bike an absolute looker (though I doubt someone from USA will buy the Italian colours).

But at $25k, it's also bloody expensive, isin't it?

P.S. Some journos aren't happy with the brake pistons and ferring quality. I've read somewhere that each monobloc brake caliper costs something like 250 USD....Dang.

I missed the Long Beach motorcycle show, as I was in B'lore. I am sure the limited edition version will look sweet. I think my fav. will still be a blood red Duc.

Oh yeah. Thats the reason it will always remain my dream bike. I have been visiting the local bike hangouts, but yet to see one for real, on the road - burning rubber.
