The good old days of 916 and Carl fogarty, troy corser and troy bayliss. A proper icon this.
I was looking forward to what fogarty has to say about how his 916 has evolved over the decades.

60 lakhs OTR for a motorcycle!

- Is there a market for such a bike in India? Even 1 - 2 customers?

- Would anyone really push a motorcycle that costs 60 lakh rupees?

- How much more special is this compared to the "regular" non-limited version?

Yes GTO, there will be at least 1-2 customers in India who will buy this. These are collectors items. If price would have been of that significance Ducati would not have managed to sell the beast 1299 Superleggera which was INR 1.12 Crores ex-showroom.

- This limited edition will consist of only 500 individually numbered bikes and will sport an original livery and exclusive racing components.

- The bike was ridden onto the stage by four-time World Superbike champion, Carl Fogarty, who won all of his titles with the Italian brand in the 1990s. In recognition of his achievements, all 500 machines come in a distinctive new livery, inspired by Fogarty’s championship-winning 1999 Ducati 996 World Superbike. This is hammered home by the large number one found on the front and sides, as well as the optional Foggy and Shell stickers, which come included for you to apply yourself.

- Marchesini Racing forged magnesium wheels, saving 1kg, and a Euro4-compliant titanium Akrapovič silencer, which is 0.5kg lighter than the unit found on the conventional V4 S.

- Updated electronics, thanks to technology derived from the Desmosedici GP18 MotoGP bike.

- To help improve your lap times further, the tribute machine also gets a Ducati Data Analyser+ kit and GPS module, allowing riders to measure inputs such as lean angle, brake pressure and throttle application.

- Offering eight settings (six for the dry and two for the wet) the advanced traction system is complemented further by Ducati Quick Shift EVO 2, which aids the stability of gear changes above 10,000rpm heading up the gearbox.

Absolutely - Ducati would find atleast 1-2 buyers easily willing to pay 60L for this masterpiece.

Not only its a numbered limited edition bike - it has a lot of components from the MotoGP spec V4R such as dry clutch, Marchesini alloys, Akrapovic exhaust, bunch of carbon fibre parts.

BTW anyone who buys this - is probably gonna keep this as a display piece mostly - and the value will appreciate over time.

Absolutely GTO! If someone can pay 72 lakhs for the Kawasaki H2R (India's first Kawasaki Ninja H2R delivered), then there could definitely be takers for this limited edition Ducati

Cheers

One should not be surprised. There is one gentleman in Delhi who owns not one but two 1 Cr+ bikes. Ducati 1299 Superlaggera and BMW HP4 Race. He even have a custom winger to carry these to and fro from BIC and he drives it himself.
