Looks pretty nice and seems to have got all the required updates. This should continue to sell decently here as well, knowing Kawasaki, probably the price hike would also not be huge compared to outgoing model.

re: 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs

Looks much better than what the spyshots made me believe. They didn't turn it into an ugly duckling thankfully (looking at you, 6R)
The black highlights on the KRT's face make it look quite good, though the white and red at the bottom are too cheesy for my taste (The KRT has been getting cheesier each year IMO). The RR does look bland.

The non-KRT black looks kickass in this new design. It has always looked better than the lime green KRT IMO. Hope Kawasaki gives an option in India this time to choose the stealthy black one. Looks better and costs lesser too.

I don't like the design of the TFT. They seem to have copy pasted the same one from Z650 all the way to Z H2. Too small and the interface looks unpolished compared to the ones from R1, S1000RR etc. Better than the 10 year old 7 segment display though:

The price difference seems to be about 600 USD going by the US site (16699 vs 16099 - 21 vs 20 for the black ABS versions).

Side pics of the black which we won't get most likely:

Here's an interview with Craig Watson, Sales and Marketing Manager, Kawasaki UK, in which he explains why the front looks like that. (At 8:40 if you're in a hurry)

I dont think I am trading in my Gen5 for this. More an evolution than a revolution in my books. The problem is that in a class like this, where you are already at the pinnacle of performance, there isnt much left to change/improve every year.
Credit to Kawasaki for not re-inventing what already is working well for them.
This also allows them to keep the bikes sanely priced unlike some of their competitors (remember the new blade?)
Now time to figure out how to get that TFT to fit onto our Gen5 bikes

re: 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs

The US spec stock 2021 10R makes ~10 WHP more on the dyno than the stock 2020 one.

2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs-10rdyno.png

In the above graph,

Red is stock 2020, Blue is tuned/de-restricted 2020 with stock hardware and Green is stock 2021.

If the 2021 10R makes 190+ with the restrictions removed on stock hardware, it would be a great figure.

re: 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs

Launched at 14.99 lakhs ex-showroom and available in two shades, KRT Green and Ebony Black. Kawasaki India gets the pricing spot-on once again IMO for this hot seller inspite of the BSVI update, styling changes, leds all around, TFT console, riding modes etc.

re: 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs

Not happy with the pricing. For a 600 USD jump, Kawasaki is charging 100k+ INR. The CKD was launched at 1.28m INR here (They can call it introductory or whatever), it has jumped to 1.5m now. Too much of an increase in 2-3 years. Everything keeps increasing in this country except the salary of a common man employed in private cos.

We can finally have the black. That's one good thing, though I was hoping for lesser price on the black compared to KRT.

Below is the pricing breakup for the Kerala market, as received from a fellow enthusiast and forum member. The KFC is the Kerala Flood Cess. It looks like the dealership has added Rs 15,000 for handling charges in the exshowroom + KFC element. Overall, this is great pricing from Kawasaki once again, I only wish its Japanese competition learnt a thing or two from them.

Ex-Showroom+KFC= 15,32,883/-

TCS = 11,497/-

Road Tax = 3,24,320

Temp Registration = 615

Insurance = 52,688/-

Total On Road Price = 19,22,002/-

How can the on road price have a 35% increase on the ex showroom price. Not sure of the registration charges quoted but the insurance premium is a definite rip off, should be easily doable below 50k.

Re: 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs

I feel RTO charges should be below ₹3L and insurance around ₹50k. So OTR should be around ₹18.5-19L depending on where you will register the bike.

Unfortunately, the pricing on the Kawasaki website is wildly inaccurate. Do check with your local dealership for the actual on road pricing. Below is the similar online pricing for Kerala.

2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR unveiled. Edit: Launched at 14.99 lakhs-whatsapp-image-20210316-21.38.46.jpeg

This Rs 22.84L on road price from the online portal, translates to the actual Rs 19.22L price, which has come from the dealership sales team. Im sure that there will be a similar correction once your local dealership calculates the actual figures.
