Norton V4SV superbike unveiled globally

Norton Motorcycles has globally unveiled its latest product called the V4SV. The company says that this is the most luxurious British superbike ever created. It has two colour options - Manx and Carbon.

The Norton V4SV is powered by a 1,200cc, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing 185 BHP @ 12,500 rpm and 125 Nm @ 9,000 rpm. The motorcycle features a full carbon-fibre bodywork. Even the 15-litre under-seat fuel tank is also made of carbon fibre and has Kevlar reinforcement.

The frame of the Norton V4SV has been designed and built in-house. It has been hand-polished to a mirror finish. The design of the aluminium tubular chassis has been developed at the world’s most rigorous race track, the Isle of Man TT.

The braking duties are under the supervision of dual 330 mm front floating discs with radially-mounted Brembo calipers and a 245 mm rear disc. For the suspensions, Norton Motorcycles has picked the fully adjustable Ohlins NIX30 system for the front and Ohlins TTXGP Norton bespoke rear shock.

  • 3 riding modes - Wet, Road and Sport
  • 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)

  • Full quick shift system and auto-blipper
Norton Motorcycles was acquired by TVS Motor Company last year for GBP 16 million.
