Nice & detailed write up on your various journeys Axe77.

Are you able to reach the ground with both your feet? Is some planning required before coming to a stop ?
It all depends on how you perceive the situations, you can take a clue from Dani Pedrosa the MotoGP champion who is barely 5'2" height and he is much comfortable in riding big bikes.

Another bike story that I'm gonna miss the updates on - great coverage, the next owner will get a full story of the ownership if he comes here to do a BCG

The Multistrada hits 60,000 kms!

Apologies for updating this on the Tiger thread but I can’t figure where else to post this. Reminds me that I owe this forum a dedicated thread for the Multi as well. Will get around to this as soon as possible.

60,000 clicks came up on the Multistrada on my morning ride to Khopoli today. We took a short detour on the way to this nice spot to get some pics. I purchased her in end March 2022 at just under 53,600 kms and it’s been an absolutely exhilarating 6000 kms to get to this point. The bike’s running like a peach, specially since its so recently past its desmo service about a 1000 kms or so ago.

This is one of the best threads on big adventure bikes and I’m sad to see no more updates on your Tiger (especially loved the dedicated Spiti trip update). I’m sure the new owner will be very happy with his purchase, it’s increasingly difficult to see good Tiger 800s in Mumbai these days.

Please continue the updates on your journey with Multi here until there’s a dedicated thread. Glad to see a Ducati with 60k on ODO going strong. Shows how any good machine can go the distance when really taken care of even if it’s not a ‘Japanese’ as the tradition goes. Have mostly seen your Multi fully loaded with all luggage so must say the bike looks wonderful without any luggage mounted on, especially the rear wheel.

PS: Where exactly is this location in Khopoli? Looks so serene

Re: 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 XRx | Long-Term Review (Sold)

I was never into Adv/Off-roaders (or whatever you call them), but your long-term ownership review makes me crave one. It could be a passing feeling, but God, I can only imagine the fun you had riding the cat!

I am in love with the 800 more than the latest 850. IMHO, the 800 looks more like a Tiger than the 850 (no offense to the 850 owners).

It's sad that you are no longer associated with it, but I hope you can get a meet and greet whenever you want, as it is still with your friend.

I am looking forward to your next ride update.

Thank you. The bike wasn’t sold to someone I know so I don’t really know where it is anymore. Not part of my immediate riding circle and perhaps for the better. Even on the last day of delivery, I had a tough moment in finally handing over the keys.

The pre-owned Multistrada I mentioned earlier in this thread has its own dedicated thread now (link below).
