Please provide the source of your information.

Why would Yamaha launch in Bhopal rather than Mumbai or Bangalore. Rumblings have indicated that the MT-01 and the R1 were first on the list.

Dont know about Bhopal....

Rumour aside - the report in the Hindu mentioned that the MT-01 will be sourced from the US, while it is NOT sold in the US (or produced there). If its coming from the US it has to be the Roadstar Warrior - BEST OF LUCK to anyone that wants to try and ride that in India. You better visit the gym first.

R1 on indian roads- what a waste of time and money. Anyone who says they reach the redline and get out of second gear on that bike is lying through their teeth.

I dont think its a complete waste of time and money. There are people who already owned these and then there are people like us who wished we owned these.. If they are releasing it chances are that you will see more of these on roads than cars.. That helps in reducing traffic too
I agree to the redline part but you can be slow and still shift to 3rd.. Not further..

Its about 300 kgs, but its not just the weight. The DIMENSIONS of the bike are such that you have to be King Kong to be able to steer it on our roads. You need long legs to keep your feet on the ground, very long arms to move those handles, lots of muscles to keep the whole thing on two wheels.

Great in Dubai with its broad and straight roads, but India - I dont know.

Please provide the source of this information. I googled for it and it took me to an xbhp page where someone had posted about this. It could be a display bike (or so it seemed).
