Why are Rideventur Kawasaki's Bangalore showrooms empty?

I have been to the Kawasaki showrooms in Bangalore multiple times in the last month in search of a new bike. I have gone to both showrooms Langford Road & Outer Ring Road. To my disappointment, I only got to see empty showrooms - not a single bike on display except for the Ninja 300/ Ninja 400. They don't have any bikes for test rides except for the Ninja 300. The sales person seemed totally disinterested in having any conversation around arranging for a test ride of the Ninja 400/ Ninja 650. I was told I would need to book the bike without a test ride!

This is in stark difference as compared to when I got my Ninja 650 in 2014 from the Kawasaki Indiranagar showroom (then run by Khivraj). At that time, every single Kawasaki model was on display and most available for test rides.

Does anyone know what is happening? Is Rideventur Kawasaki winding up? or is it some kind of year end de-stocking?

Coincidentally it's the same situation here like you said in Cochin too . Only ninja 300's in the showroom with indifferent staff.

Same with the Calicut showroom too AFAIK, and all three(BLR, Cochin, Calicut) are Rideventur Kawasaki. Are they shutting down by any chance?

Maybe not related as they regularly seem to have some kind of voucher ranging from 10-50k off the cost. But i see no z650 in my area. 10k for ninja 300 is not that great of an offer to begin with.

I too am in the search of a new bike and visited the ORR Rideventur showroom a couple of weeks ago (end of Feb, to be precise). The showroom had Ninja 300, Ninja 400 and Z650RS on display and even had a ZX10R being serviced inside.

Like you said, TD was available only on the 300 but the sales guy told me that the Langford Road showroom has Ninja 650 available for test drive on weekends. He even offered to make the bike available for TD in the ORR showroom on a weekday given that he got a day's notice in advance.

Perhaps just a chance that the showrooms were empty when you visited?

Cheers.

I visited at different times at both locations to find the same situation. And then I gave up and bought a Triumph Street Twin.

From your post, seems like the Ninja 400 still isn't available for test ride.

Arguably, when I purchased my Ninja 650 in 2014 from the Kawasaki showroom on 100 ft road Indiranagar, the experience was great. I think that showroom was operated by Khivraj Bajaj.

Even the service experience at Khivraj Bajaj was much superior to the one at Rideventure Jayanagar.

Maybe its the economics of low volume and not so great margin, but to me, the Kawasaki experience went from great to shit between 2014 and now.

I'm not sure, so correct me if wrong, but could it have something to do with W175? Maybe they're going (comparatively more) mass market to drive volumes in operation?

Because if I were Kawasaki, I would start thinking about volumes and profits, and independence from Bajaj Auto. This is all just my assumption though.
