2025 Triumph Speed Twin 900 teased ahead of India debut

Triumph is gearing up to introduce the 2025 Speed Twin 900 in India. The bike maker has just dropped a teaser of the updated model, which made its global debut in October this year.

Triumph has made some changes to the Speed Twin 900 for the 2025 model year. The bike now looks similar to the Speed Twin 1200 and features a round LED headlamp in the front, a classic teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a single-piece flat seat. It has a new engine casing, shorter fenders and new dual exhausts.

Powering the Speed Twin 900 is the same 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin that puts out 65 BHP and 80 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Speed Twin 900 now comes with a Marzocchi USD front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The bike rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels and is equipped with a new 320 mm disc brake at the front.

In terms of features, the new Speed Twin 900 comes with a digital instrument console, lean-sensitive ABS and traction control.

The older analogue dial looked beautiful, can't say the same for the new one's digital dash.

For God's sake - give this thing a 6 speed box!! Why isn't that really being offered at this price esp when the big really begs for it on the open roads?

I love all the updates but i really wish they got dual discs up at the front! There is a very specific reason - this bike is a torque monster and pulls like a runaway freight train and it definitely needs to disc at the front to stop it effectively! Saying this as a T 100 owner

Ąs an owner of the first-generation Street Twin, I certainly feel this bike needs better brakes. Despite using aftermarket pads from EBC and Accossato, the bite and feel are missing.

I think the brakes have come a long way from the 1st Gen. We have a 4 piston radial caliper with 320 mm disc in the latest version. Even the 2nd gen was a huge improvement over the 1st with the brembo 4 pot calipers! Still , i agree with you. This bike needs two discs at the front. No arguing about that.

After struggling for a few years trying various things to get a better suspension, I have managed to create a setup that really works. I am afraid I will need to put in the same effort to figure out braking as well. Changing the pads have a marginal effect but need to think of something else. Any advice?

Yes. I swapped the absolutely horrendous 2 piston Nissin calipers on my T 100 to the Beringer 4 piston calipers

This was a huge improvement over the stock . The Beringer ones are super expensive. I still needed to change the MC to get the best out of the beringer calipers but i could not becuase Triumph integrates the MC with the back portion of switch control on the T100

I don't know how it is on the 1st gen street twin

I would highly recommend this - https://www.carpimoto.com/en-CH/4240...embo-P4-30.htm

This is the right sided one. You need the one for the left side . This is super cheap and is a true work horse

This swap alone will make a huge difference. If your MC is not a integrated one, you can swap it out to match the caliper and it will be some 10 levels up from what you have today!

Hope this helps
