check for he bill of entry, the amount of duty paid on the bike. registration details. and if not registered in karnataka then NOC.
the duty paid is vital, sometimes the book value of this bike is ridiculously undervalued to avoid heavy duty and this could be a problem for you later

what iceman has quoted is really necessary and absolutely important
and also if you can negotiate to around the 5.0L or lower its gonna be a steal always better to have som dough in the pocket when you just get a bike like that

but then have fun ride safe

cheers

hey go for it, check for the duty papers, also was it a full import or was it brought down in TR, TR usually means less headaches from customs in the future.

my friend even though its registered in your name and suppose the bike has been undervalued say 1 lac and duty is paid on 1 lac tomorrow the tri or customs guy can seize your bike at any time. you have no say also you have to pay them the penalty and fines to release it.
seen it happen thats why i said it.
