Not the only one - the article mentions that some of his MP friends race with him on the same track!

How the hell do you race an R1 on a go-kart track. You can barely stay in 1st gear nowhere near the powerband.

Second, I see some huge Bombay style high rise aparements in the background. Looks like the track in Powai to me.

Nope, 25 kms from Delhi. R1s on go-kart tracks are fun though, when you're not paying for it.

the article also mentions a couple of ninjas...... how the hell do you power a ninja in a 1/4 mile track??? you need a 4 km track to exploit an r1 or a 12R- and enjoy it's 1st gear, 100 kmph turns......

by the way..... nice going, rahul....!!! if he's coming up for elections to be the pm, he gets my vote...!!!!! a petrolhead can understand the needs of the country better..... and who knows, he might even pressure the petro cos. to give up on their shenanigans and reduce the fuel costs......

Many of you are not old enough to remember Rajiv Gandhi's passion for driving. Even as PM he insisted on driving whenever he saw wide open road during official visits all over the country. He loved to drive the Airport Road in Bangalore which used to be quite deserted those days, I know, hard to believe that one...

All the traffic used to be stopped along his path, he used to have some really powerful car and no cops would dare interfear with his speeding, what more can you ask...

Rajiv Gandhi had the policy of making the local PWD removing all speedbreakers before a visit.
