Nice move but i would have rather liked the fazer 1000 to be launched as well.its a more practical touring/everyday work bike than this.

Nice! Great to see more bikes coming into India.

I saw one in Vasant Vihar in Delhi once. The guy was going on an early morning ride. It looked very muscular.

Will we see the FZ 6 in India sometime soon? Hope the prices fall into a more affordable category.

God, only if they made this in India. We actually pay almost double than what people elsewhere pay thanks to those hefty taxes on imports.

Re: Yamaha FZ-1 - Launched

Nice move by Yamaha, however they could have concentrated much on the entry segment rather than jumping in niche market, as entry segment would give much market share which they are in need of.

Does these high end bikes have good market in India?? I see lot of manufacturers coming up with these kind of high end models

I wouldn't pitch it against the Fazer, that's a proper tourer. This can give the CB1000 and likes a good run for their money!

Essyouwee - +1! Even I would love to see the FZ6 on offer in our market. If priced appropriately, it'll do wonders for Yamaha.

Re: Yamaha FZ-1 - Launched

I hope you know there is actually no difference between the two other than the fairing.Even the handlebar height is the same. Its just that the fairing helps in long rides.other than that its exactly the same.

And its no proper tourer as such.

All the manufactures should start manufacturing these bikes in India as that will ensure we donot have to pay double cost. IT will also ensure that there will be more market for these high capacity bikes. Let hope the FZ 6 is made in India so that we can afford it and do not have to pay from our nose or just dream of owning such bikes.

Re: Yamaha FZ-1 - Launched

The pricing for CBR-250R has been revealed in US, it costs 2L+ and the CB-1000R? Few dollars above 4.

I am waiting.

It would have been a nice move had they launched a Fazer-1000 along with FZ.

That won't happen anytime soon. We don't really have many trade agreements for automobiles. There is no market in India. For the sake of 100-200 units, no company would put up a manufacturing or even an assembling plant here.
