In my opinion, in case if you can afford, go for a 1 lakh loan and with the 2 lakhs you can get decent cars, which suits your requirement. Now a days banks also are generous for Used car loans.

i was going to suggest the same

with finance so easy nowadays why go for the turbo for one they are definitely not easy to find and one in a great condition
its a car that unless u have a craze for it and really want it and are ready to stand for its expenses u shouldn't go for it

do go for a newer one

govi if you get a sierra for a lac, you will surely have to spend some more to get it into a decent shape. sometime back had the same idea but dropped the plan as its not practical.

i would suggest save money and buy a better car.

Gypsy is even more harder to find! if you do so it will cost you more.

ask me pay the savedup money as down payment and go for a new car.
Palio, Esteem...etc

Hey thanks RPM. mumbai vehicles are a head ache as i would have to reregister it and get the tax think going again. which will easily cost another 15grand.

So, is everyone telling me that there is absolutely no vehicle you can get for a budget of a lac?

I got a 97 Carb Esteem for under 80 K, spent 6-7k on supension, brakes, electricals etc and Rs.4000 for couple of tyres (Tubeless)..took it on the highway for the first time yesterday, and touched 135 kmph..

It returned more than 14kmpl..I guess Esteem would be a very good buy for you..
