New MUVs from TATA

My feeling is that Tata MUVs and SUVs are real value for money.

Tata is coming out with new versions of

1. Tata Sumo
2. Tata Safari

A friend of mine has seen the new sumo on road being tested. He said that the new sumo was escorted with safari in the front and at the back.

He said that there is atleast 35% change in the look of the vehicle from the existing victa.

They say that the cars will be available with two engine variants.

a. 2.2 litre dicor (common rail) engine (from Austrian colloboration)
b. refined 3 litre dicor engine imported from the current 407 SP.

I guess that the sumos should have the base price tag at 5.5 lakhs ex showroom and Safari 2.2 L dicor may have the base price at 7.8 lakhs ex showroom.

Safari TITC may be phased out soon. Dicor 3L may come to the price level of the current TITC.
