I thought you are getting the Cycus Grey Safari with the silver border. I am interested in the Silver vehicle with the Cycus grey border.

Congrats Umang - and this becomes the first GX out here! Waiting for the pictures.

Came across a Red GX on the Durgapur highway last week and it did look good in the night - the mirror indicators do stand out.

Thanks. Hope to post some pics today evening.

Thanks everyone for the great tips and suggestions. Guess I will have to start a new thread for my initial reactions and experience with the vehicle, so catch you all there.

Congratulations Umang for yoru purchase.

Some tips / answers for your queries

1. Nudge guard should be avoided it is waste of 11 K and can be a safety hinderence as in case of frontal accident it bypasses the bumper and transfers force to Chassis. Bumpers have honey comb structure and minimize the damage to pedestrians in case of accident and also absorb the energy.
Even if the accident is not major front nudge guard can cause serious damage to radiator , AC and Bonnet in case of accident. bumper breaks and can be replaced cheap ( compared to all other expensive parts)

2. In Mysore / Bangalore area best place to get the vehicle serviced is concord motors bangalore ( 2 workshops at Hosur road and Mysore road).

3. By rule 70% visibility for front and back and 50% for side but it depends on how strict is enforcement in your area. While buying the film check heat rejection percentage as well the cost depends on this factor.

4. GX does not need many acessories as such but for a long highway trip to Bangalore / Mysore you may like to carry following things. ( For any car not just Safari)
a. 12 V air compressor
b. 2 Ton Hydrolic Jack + tubeless puncture repair kit.
c. Upgrade of H4 headlamps to Osram nightbreakers or Phillips +80. They have same rating as OEM.
Do not touch OEM headlight wiring to fit hight capaciy bulbs.
4. Sonex windshield washer liquid. ( Extreamly importany for night driving
light scattred from dust is disturbing)
5. A colin / Kiwi glass cleaner for cleaning the windshield from inside
( Hand marks on Windshield are extreamly disturbing for night driving)

Regards

Amit thanks for the tips. I just wanted to confirm if upgarding the Osram nightbreakers involved just replacing of the bulbs or anything else and if it would have any impact on bulb holder, warranty etc

They are of same rating as OEM that is H4 65 /55 W and do not require any changes in wiring so no impact on warranty .

Umang as Amit said there will be no problem of warranty if you use the Osram Night Breaker as these have the same ratings of the OE headlights.

Did you take the delivery ???

Where are the pictures of your King ???
